Privacy

Privacy policy.

We take the protection of your personal data seriously. This privacy policy informs you about the nature, scope and purpose of the processing of personal data on this website.

01. Controller

The controller within the meaning of the GDPR is:

Company AVAON GmbH
Address Reisholzer Bahnstraße 39 – Unit 2
40599 Düsseldorf, Germany
Managing Director Nikolaos Daskalakis

02. Hosting

This website is hosted by an external service provider. For hosting and delivery we use the HighLevel platform (HighLevel Inc., 400 North Saint Paul St., Suite 920, Dallas, TX 75201, USA). Data collected on this website is stored on the provider's servers.

This may involve a transfer of personal data to the USA. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and efficient provision of our online offering).

Where data is transferred to the USA, this is based on appropriate safeguards (in particular EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework).

A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider.

03. Server log files

The provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files which your browser transmits automatically: browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, time of the server request and the IP address.

This data is not merged with other data sources. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR.

04. Cookies

This website currently uses only technically necessary cookies or comparable technologies required for the operation of the website (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR / § 25 (2) TDDDG).

Should consent-requiring analytics or marketing services be used in future, we will obtain your consent beforehand via a cookie banner (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25 (1) TDDDG).

05. Contact and contact form

When you contact us via the contact form or by email, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, company, email address, product category and your message) in order to handle your enquiry.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry relates to the initiation or performance of a contract, and otherwise Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR.

The data is deleted once it is no longer required for the purpose and no statutory retention obligations apply.

06. Web fonts (Google Fonts)

This website uses web fonts for a consistent display of typefaces.

Where these are loaded from an external provider (Google Fonts, Google Ireland Limited), your browser establishes a connection to its servers when you access the website, which may transmit your IP address.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. A local, self-hosted integration of the fonts is intended in order to avoid data transfer to third parties.

07. Your rights

Within the scope of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to:

  • Access to your stored personal data (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Erasure of your data stored with us (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)

Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority — including the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia.

08. SSL / TLS encryption

For security reasons this site uses SSL / TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by "https://" in your browser's address bar.

09. Currency and changes

Due to the further development of our website or because of changed legal or regulatory requirements, it may become necessary to amend this privacy policy.
